Blake Shelton 'Cheers It's Christmas' Album to Be Released Oct. 2.

Blake Shelton is getting ready to put fans in a holiday mood a little early this year. The superstar entertainer announced on his website today (Aug. 6) that his rumored Christmas album has a title and an official release date of October 2 on Warner Bros. Records.

Perhaps not surprisingly, the disc's title, Cheers It's Christmas, is a clever nod to one of Blake's favorite pastimes and also getting into the Christmas spirit(s) are duet partners Reba McEntire and fellow advisor on "The Voice," Michael Bublé. The Oklahoma native also wrote and performs the album's single, "Time for Me to Come Home," with his mother, Dorothy Shackleford. The tune captures the longing of a son's return home to his family for the holidays.

Comprised of classic Christmas songs that have affected Blake through the years, many of the album's tracks were recorded at the legendary Capitol Studios with full orchestral accompaniment, capturing the sound and spirit of holiday standards by the likes of Nat King Cole, Bing Crosby and others. Blake and Reba's duet marks the pair's first time performing together on record and the song he and crooner Michael Bublé perform together is a holiday-themed rendition of "Home," the 2008 Bublé pop hit Blake took to the country chart.

Although no official track list has been released for the new collection, Blake recently told the Las Vegas Review-Journal that "I'll Be Home for Christmas" is his favorite seasonal tune but that's he's a fan of most Christmas songs. "Even the ones I don't even know what they mean," he said, adding, "There's one on Anne Murray's Christmas album,
