Craig Morgan normally gives out his own autograph hundreds of times a day during the CMA Music Festival, but this year, he's flipping the script to gather hundreds of autographs from the fans to send to troops overseas. As part of Jack Daniel's "Toast to the Troops" campaign, Craig will appear at the Jack Daniel's display at the CMA Music Festival on June 7 to help gather messages on toast cards from fans to send to servicemen and women. The messages gathered all week next week during the festival will later be added to special care packages being compiled at stuffing parties held this summer by the distillery and the USO.

"Obviously, I'm more than happy to take a photo and sign anything my fans would like during the CMA Music Festival, but what I really want is for them to sign a message of support for our troops," says Craig. "Even though more and more of our troops are coming home, there are still thousands serving our nation in harm's way. We want them to know that they have our unconditional love and support, and signing a Toast card is one small way to demonstrate that."

Since the first "Toast to the Troops" event was held at Fort Campbell, Jack Daniel's and the USO have held 15 stuffing parties around the country and mailed 160,000 care packages to the men and women serving overseas. Along with the goodwill messages, the packages also contain goodies and necessities like international calling cards, sunscreen, playing cards, disposable cameras and snacks.

Craig is a longtime supporter of the military, and as a former military man himself, the cause is one that is near and dear to his heart. He spent over 10 years in active duty in the Army and an additional nine years in the reserves, and received the USO's Merit Award in 2006.
