Great music can come from anywhere -- literally. Whether artist's stem from the eastern hemisphere or south of the equator, many of their lauded tracks exhibit international flair. Hip-hop and R&B has always been influenced in some capacity by artists who boast global heritage, some born outside of the U.S., others not. Either way, we're grateful for their contributions, body-rocking music and cultural pride -- as well as for the U.S. Customs department for bringing us all a little closer.
In honor of Flag Day, The BoomBox found 10 artists -- Fat Joe, Melanie Fiona, Wale and Estelle, among others -- who rep their international backgrounds and raise their flags high, all while creating music that impacts around the world.
