The Polaris Music Prize and its $30,000 won't be handed out until September 24, but fans can take advantage of some related free vinyl courtesy of the award's just announced Scion Split Surprise 7" Series.

Fans purchasing one of the 10 "Short List" albums (either vinyl or CD) at participating outlets will be given a bonus surprise split seven-inch single. The "unmarked limited edition instant collectible" will feature a song on each side by one of the nominees.

There will be four different combinations available: Kathleen Edwards and Cold Specks, Japandroids and Cadence Weapon, Grimes and Handsome Furs, and Fucked Up and YAMANTAKA // SONIC TITAN.

Edwards will perform "Going To Hell" off her Voyageur album while Cold Specks will perform "Blank Maps" from I Predict a Graceful Expulsion. Grimes performs "Genesis" from Visions while Handsome Furs does "Serve the People" from Sound Kapital.

Japandroids see their song "The House That Heaven Built" from Celebration Rock opposite "Conditioning" from Cadence Weapon's Hope in Dirt City. Finally YAMANTAKA//SONIC TITAN perform "Queens" from YT/ST opposite Fucked Up's "What Would You Do (For Veronica)?"
