Maybe he had Bruce Springsteen's "Leap of Faith" in his head at the time, but whatever the reason Gaslight Anthem singer Brian Fallon was no worse for wear after taking a mighty plunge from the balcony at London's KOKO on Monday evening.

Captured via Youtube, Fallon went onto a balcony several feet over the crowd on the floor before deciding to hop over the railing as a nearby fan's face went from smiles to near shock as his band plays an extended jam.

Fallon then crouches and peers over the audience before saying what looks like "You guys catch me!" After giving them the thumbs-up and then telling them to push back some, Fallon turns and then falls backward onto the audience. Fortunately, the crowd caught him as a collective "Whoa!" can be heard from the fans.

After a couple of seconds Fallon ends up getting on his feet before helping a fan back up as well. The singer then returns to the stage seemingly no worse for wear before the band goes into "Wooderson" off their 2007 album Sink or Swim.

"good night London, we're out!" the band tweeted after the gig. "Had a blast at KOKO...Top 5 shows EVER for us! #see you in the Fall!"

The group, who will put their new album Handwritten out on July 24, continues their European tour this evening with a show in Kiel, Germany. The band's North American tour begins in Atlantic City, New Jersey on June 22 before returning to Europe for a handful of festival dates.
