Fiona Apple's latest single "Werewolf" bears no transformative effects or moon-howling. But it does possess hair-raising elements like pure blissful piano work and Fiona's other-worldly vocals.
Around 2:10 into the track, a bunch of screaming kids begin to accompany the low-end keyboard for a frightening finish, as Apple sings "Nothing wrong when/A song ends/In a minor key."
This is just another reason why The Idler Wheel is wiser than the Driver of the Screw, and Whipping Cords will serve you more than Ropes will ever do is going to be one of 2012's biggest albums.
