The Beach Boys have been added to the list of performers at this year's Grammy Awards, according to a press release. And as Brian Wilson and company share a stage together for the first time in more than two decades, they'll have help from a couple of fellow Southern California bands: Foster the People and Maroon 5.

The three L.A. groups will join forces for a "special performance," and while the mashing together of, say, 'Wouldn't It Be Nice,' 'Pumped Up Kicks' and 'Moves Like Jagger' would make for a sequence of sounds even more confounding and disturbing than side three of 'SMiLE,' we're intrigued by the possibility.

Now, the real question: How will John Stamos factor into this?
