There will be no shortage of acts to check out at this year's Canadian Music Fest, which takes place March 9-13 in Toronto as part of Canadian Music Week. Announced today, the stellar lineup includes Kurt Vile, Dinosaur Jr.'s J Mascis, Janelle MonĂ¡e, Melissa Etheridge and Good Charlotte.
And, naturally, the Canadian contingent is top-tier, with performances by Shad, Land of Talk, Hollerado, Alexisonfire-offshoot Black Lungs, Cadence Weapon, Gentleman Reg and 2010 Polaris Prize winners Karkwa, among others. Rockers Big Sugar will also be stepping back into the limelight for a reunion of sorts after being fairly low-key on the concert circuit.
Another special addition to this year's event includes the world premiere of a multimedia presentation by Tool guitarist Adam Jones.
With more than 800 artists showcasing in 55 venues around the city, music fans are certain to get their money's worth. Information on tickets and the showcase schedule can be found here.
