The bizarre image of David Bowie and Bing Crosby standing around a piano crooning their version of 'Little Drummer Boy' is burned in the minds of most music fans. Decades later, it's also still ripe for parody from some of our best comedians. Interestingly, this year, Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly had the same idea as Jack Black and Jason Segel, as both duos created spoofs of the holiday classic.

Black and Segel's animated clip, which surfaced earlier this month on Spinner, features a more rocking version of the classic. "It was very mellow when they did it and it took some imagination and some heavy instrumentation, some power drums, some electric guitar, the obvious things that you use for rockification," Black said at the time.

Ferrell and Reilly play things considerably more straight in their rendition, which debuted Monday on FunnyOrDie.com. The pair seemingly care more about sending up the original clip itself with its odd juxtaposition of Bowie and Crosby forming an unlikely bond around the piano in grainy, muted colors. Both comedians pull it off with near perfection, conjuring humor from an accurate imitation rather than throwing some blazing guitars over the top.
