Radiohead's Phil Selway Announces European Solo Tour
Radiohead drummer Phil Selway is to perform a solo tour of Europe, beginning in Italy on Mar. 27 -- in support of his as-yet-untitled upcoming album release.
The drummer and singer recently penned and sang 'The Ties That Bind Us' and 'The Witching Hour' on Neil Finn's '7 Worlds Collide' Oxfam fundraiser album 'The Sun Came Out.' He also contributed to other tracks, alongside Johnny Marr, Jeff Tweedy and KT Tunstall.
Another '7 Worlds' contributor, singer/songwriter Lisa Germano has helped out on Selway's solo album, and will perform with him as part of his touring band this spring.
Other guests on Selway's album are Glenn Kotche and Pat Sansone from Wilco and Sebastian Steinberg of Soul Coughing.
Meanwhile Radiohead announced in January that they are back in the studio recording album number eight, and the band also debuted a new song when they played a last minute Haiti earthquake appeal benefit concert in Los Angeles last month.
