The sixth annual Rock on the Range festival went down May 18-20 at Columbus Crew Stadium in Columbus, Ohio. Bands such as
Attack Attack!,
Trivium,
In This Moment,
P.O.D.,
Black Stone Cherry,
Slash,
Shinedown,
Marilyn Manson and many more joined headliners
Incubus and
Rob Zombie during the weekend of music and fun.
Above normal temperatures meant a lot of sunburns but the heat didn't impact the action in the pits, all of which were massive at all three of the festival stages.
Five Finger Death Punch easily earned the award for most crowd surfers of the weekend, with people surfing from the back of the field to the front to shake singer Ivan Moody's hand.
Things got a little tense during
Falling In Reverse when vocalist Ronnie Radke slammed his former bandmates in
Escape the Fate. Falling In Reverse played Rock on the Range Saturday and Escape The Fate Sunday. During a song break, Radke said "I've got two bands here this weekend ... I'm glad the real fans showed up today."
Official attendance figures have not been released. In years past, the weekend has drawn around 70,000 rock fans.
