What happens if you're in an awesome-yet-unsigned band, and want to play a cool event like the annual ShipRocked cruise? Now, you have a chance. The promoters of ShipRocked are hosting a Sonicbids contest to find two unsigned bands to play at the festival. Interested bands must submit an EPK to the official Shiprocked website.
Bands inked to play ShipRocked so far include Buckcherry, Hinder, Queensryche, Hellyeah!, Sevendust, Lynam, In This Moment, Broken Teeth and Rival Sons. Sick Puppies, Candlebox, Living Colour, and Filter will also play.
ShipRocked sails from Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. on November 14 and stops in Costa Maya and Cozumel, Mexico before returning to Florida on November 19. The floating festival takes place on the MSC Poesia. Cabin rental includes admission to all ShipRocked concerts and special events, meals, ship activities and entertainment.
