Hard Rock and Metal New Releases - May 2011
The month of May will roar in before you know it with plenty of goodies for fans of the dark & brutal as well as the melodic and fun. Releases from '80s hard rock hit-makers dominate the first week of the month with Poison offering up 'Double Dose of Poison: Ultimate Hits.' That same day, Poison tourmates Motley Crue's bassist Nikki Sixx is also releasing a new Sixx:AM album called 'This Is Gonna Hurt.'
There's also plenty of black metal on the way this month, with Liturgy and A Storm of Light darkening our worlds with new albums. Japanese extreme metal is also well represented this May with new releases from Gallhammer and Boris, who have two albums on deck for May 24. Female-fronted metal juggernaut Arch Enemy return with 'Khaos Legions,' while Vampires Everywhere! finally unveil their debut album, 'Kiss the Sun Goodbye.' Ozzy Osbourne is also re-issuing a pair of his metal classics at the end of the month.
