This has been a busy week for Beyonce. Aside from beginning work on a live performance video for her Diane Warren-penned song "I Was Here," she also took time out of her schedule to stop by the United Nations General Assembly Hall in New York Thursday (Aug. 9), The BoomBox reports.
The chart-topping chanteuse met with Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, and was all smiles in a professional blazer, classy bun and red lips.
Both of these events are in preparation for a campaign she is launching for World Humanitarian Day to encourage people to get involved in helping others worldwide.
Beyonce is filming the video for "I Was Here" live at the U.N. General Assembly Hall today (Aug. 10). The visuals will be released globally on World Humanitarian Day (Aug. 19).
