Justin Bieber didn't go speeding down an L.A. freeway on Friday for no good reason. He was eluding paparazzi, and according to TMZ, the pop superstar is now filing a harassment complaint against the overzealous photographer who gave him chase.
As the gossip site reports, Biebs met with the California Highway Patrol on Friday -- after he'd been pulled over and cited for allegedly traveling more than 100 miles per hour -- and gave a statement regarding the incident.
The Canadian heartthrob accuses the photog of driving dangerously and endangering his fellow motorists. Police also took a statement from the snapper and are investigating the case, TMZ reports.
Bieber's high-speed maneuvering gave fright to several witnesses, many of whom called 911. One driver, L.A. City Councilman Dennis Zine, told TMZ that the "Boyfriend" crooner zoomed by "like he was in a rocket ship."
"Bieber was driving like a maniac," he said. "He was weaving in and out of traffic. There was hardly any space between cars as he weaved from lane to lane."
