The internet exploded into a frenzy of speculation during last night's (Feb. 26) Academy Awards, after Jennifer Lopez seemingly suffered an embarrassing wardrobe malfunction on stage. The singer's low-cut dress showed off perhaps a little too much as Lopez presented the award for best costume design and best make-up with Cameron Diaz. But now, J.Lo's stylist is speaking out, claiming there was no such nip slip, and insisting it was all just an illusion.
The curvaceous diva's plunging Zuhair Murad gown just looked like a wardrobe malfunction waiting to happen as she walked the Oscar red carpet -- much like her now hall-of-fame-worthy green Versace dress from the 2000 Grammys.
But Lopez's stylist Mariel Haenn has spoken to PEOPLE Magazine to dispel the rumors, insisting the Oscars audience did not actually see what they thought they saw. "The dress fit perfectly to every inch. While the dress did give the illusion of sheer-ness, [the] joke's on everyone who wishes they saw something!"
Despite Haenn's claim, fans were so convinced of the wardrobe malfunction that Lopez's nip slip earned the singer a trending topic on Twitter and prompted Oscar viewers to create a Twitter account in honor of the apparent peep show entitled, @JLosNipple!
