Since Russell Brand announced they were splitting days after Christmas, Katy Perry's been feeling a bit blue. And now, her famous tresses, which have gone from brunette, to blonde, to pink in the past few months, match the singer's melancholy mood.
Last night (Jan. 12) a newly blue and bobbed Katy was snapped for the first time since officially splitting from her husband on the streets of Los Angeles. In the photo, which can be viewed here, Katy sweetly poses with one of her biggest fans, Eric Berlanger, as she leaves a shoot for a new Adidas commercial.
"It was great to see her, I have met her a couple times before and I am a big fan!" Eric tells British paper, The Sun. "She was in a van and saw me. I waved and she made the driver of the van stop and she lowered the window and I went up to her and she put out her hand and said: 'Hey its good to see you again!'"
"I said the same," continues Berlanger. "And then I asked if I could take a picture with her and she said yes and got out of the van and gave me a hug and told me I smell good then we took the two pictures."
Perhaps winning big at this week's People's Choice Awards put Katy in a better mood. "She was great, really nice, she seemed happy," reveals superfan Eric.
The newly-blue singer must be feeling ready to start her new life. Besides emerging from the house she once shared with Russell to shoot the Adidas commercial, celebrity reporter Naughty But Nice Rob, just revealed that Katy's first professional post-split appearance will be at a Super Bowl Party in February.
