This couple had an 'open marijuana bar' at their wedding and it was a huge hit...literally
We all know that the best part about weddings is the open bar. The only way to get through a full evening of reminders that we're still ridiculously single while our friends are finding love is with the help of a little free booze, amiright?
However, this couple opted to treat guests to an open weed bar instead of your typical open bar. The result? It was a huge hit (did you catch that pun?)! John Elledge and Whitney Alexander had a marijuana tent at their wedding in West Linn, Oregon this summer. As Elledge is a professional marijuana grower, getting the bud wasn't too difficult for them.

Elledge designed a spread of 13 different types of marijuana for the wedding. Rather than a bartender, they had a "budtender" stationed to monitor consumption. That way, no guest risked getting too stoned. Elledge told USA Today:
"We were shocked by how much people loved it. Even an 81-year-old woman who hadn't smoked weed since the '60s came into the tent at our wedding."

Seeing as how recreational marijuana consumption is legal in Oregon, weed bars might just be the buzzing new trend (so punny)!
